Recognized as a Certified Master Kitchen and Bath Designer (CMKBD), the highest certification level offered in the industry,
Ellen Cheever maintains a private
residential design practice, with a client base
from California and Arizona to the Eastern part
of the United States.
A member of the American
Society of Interior Designers (ASID), Ellen was named the 2002 Designer of Distinction by ASID’s Pennsylvania East Chapter.
She has recently
been certified by the National Home Builders
Association as a Certified Aging-In-Place
Specialist (CAPS).

Giorgi Kitchens and Designs:
Ellen
collaborates with Pietro A. Giorgi, Sr., CMKBD and the talented
members of the Giorgi Kitchens and Designs team when working
on residential projects across the country. This full
service design/build firm oversees the entire project from
materials selection to site management during construction.
Ellen and the Giorgi team specialize in complete
kitchen/bath and other fitted furniture room designs, and are
experts in both new home and remodel construction
systems. This 50 year old Wilmington, DE firm is so well
known for their work, real estate ads for fine homes often
list “A Giorgi Custom Kitchen”.
The
design process begins with the prospective client visiting
the Giorgi Kitchens showroom to meet with Ellen and her
Giorgi colleagues. After reviewing the project parameters, a
design retainer is requested. The process continues with a
site visit to begin the space planning and specification
development process.

2003 KWC Design Competition Winner
Ellen Cheever & Pietro Giorgi, Sr., of Giorgi Kitchens & Designs in
Wilmington, Delaware, collaborated
on a kitchen renovation for the KWC Faucets/Sinks
Design Competition.
Their entry received
Kitchen Renovation of the Year for 2003 for its
creative use of KWC faucets and sinks.

Winterthur Museum Collection, Hand-crafted by
Heritage. Designed product offering, and
created training program for launch of exclusive
reproduction cabinetry offering: "The
Winterthur Museum Collection, Hand-crafted by
Heritage".
DuPont™
Surfaces. Served as liason, contributing
to the development of the award-winning DuPont™
Surfaces exhibit space for the Kitchen/Bath
Industry Show for the last 15 years. The exhibit was recognized as
"Best of Show" from the American
Society of Interior Designers.
Hafele
America. Created customized kitchen displays
for Hafele America's flagship showrooms in San
Francisco, California and New York City, New
York in collaboration with Studios Architecture.
Hafele America's showroom in New York City named
"Manufacturer Showroom of the Year",
winning a 1st Place award in the Institute of
Store Planners' Store Design Awards Competition.
ASID
Designer of Distinction, 2002. Recognized by
the Society of Interior Designers Eastern
Pennsylvania Chapter for the breadth of work
