During the past 33 years, Ellen Cheever has provided invaluable product design input to major kitchen and bath industry manufacturers. Extending her expertise to all aspects of kitchen and bath interiors, Ellen has served as a product consultant and marketing specialist for cabinetry, appliance, solid surfacing, tile and plumbing manufacturers. Her business relationships include positions with companies such as Rutt Handcrafted Cabinetry, Heritage Custom Cabinetry, St. Charles Cabinetry, American Standard Companies, DuPont™ Surfaces, Sub-Zero Co., and American Olean Tile Company. 

Ellen played a major role in rejuvenating Rutt’s product offering which had been stagnant for over 5 years. The new product and sales aids were launched at a private showing. The dealers were extremely enthused about this major turnaround. Ellen was a key reason for the overwhelming success of this event.

Professional Highlights:

St. Charles Cabinetry President, Brand Manager, 1997-2000
After serving as a training consultant for the St. Charles Manufacturing Company from 1978 to 1987, following the acquisition of the St. Charles brand by a new owner, Ellen worked with the company's parent management team to establish and implement a business plan for the relaunch of the brand. The plan encompassed product redesign, pricing strategy, distribution network and marketing. St. Charles was relaunched in 1999, with Ellen serving as the president during its first year of operation.

Heritage Custom Kitchens Vice President, Business/Dealer Development, 1992-1999
Ellen joined the company in 1992 as part of a new management and investment team. Working directly with the CEO, Ellen developed a strategic business plan to increase the company’s sales through increased unit sales per dealership. By enhancing the product design, individual unit value was also increased. She created materials and programs for a three-tiered dealer/designer training program that focused on improving cabinet line knowledge, focusing selling skills on the high-end consumer, and improving aesthetic and ergonomic design talents.
